Work to stabilise the external envelope of this gothic chapel has commenced. Originally built in 1840 the chapel is undergoing essential brick, stone, roof, and drainage repairs to mitigate further decay. A major restoration of Lincoln Castle and Prison, which was HLF funded, re-open to the public in April 2015. This exciting venture sees the Magna Carta and the Charter of the Forest displayed in a new basement vault to mark the 800th anniversary of the signing of Magna Carta. It was official re-opened by HRH Princess Anne.
